September 3th - September 8th, 2025

5 days of running along the 165 km Sunshine Coast Trail supporting of old-growth preservation and sustainable land stewardship.

About the Race

The Sunshine Coast Trail is on the lands of Tla’amin Nation, located on the coast rainforest of mainland British Columbia, tracing valleys and ridges from Desolation Sound (ʔayajuθəm) to Saltery Bay. The SCT was established in 1992 by a small group that founded the qathet Parks and Wilderness Society (qPAWS).

This event runs 174.4 km through remaining coastal forests, rocky coastal bluffs and granite ridge tops with its origins in connecting remaining Old Growth Forests. Through the course of 5 stages participants complete the SCT trail in its entirety and experience the diverse coastal ecosystems that the trail highlights. Running along this trail participants experience the presence and cooling temperature of Old Growth forests with lush moss and the imposing reality of habitat loss when running through harvested land the trail passes through.

This event has an appetite for change, that change is about land use and looks at how  BC can manage forests better. This event like all trail races is demanding because the terrain is rooty and rocky trails underfoot and elevation gains and descents. This Stage Race is also thought-provoking, encouraging participants to look at land use differently.

All proceeds from the race will go to support Tla'amin Nation Guardians Program and qPAWS.

Experience the beauty and the challenge of the Sunshine Coast Trail yourself this September!
